ID is an amazing course! Honestly, if I had chosen another course I don’t think I would be as happy as I am now. Don’t worry about job possibilities cause actually, madami naman eh. ID kids aren’t just people who “take nice pictures and make nice posters” like most people assume we are. It’s perfectly fine not to be good in designing cause that’s why you’re taking up ID. You’ll really learn a lot. :)

Before anything else, I’m so kilig and happy that you find me epic! Haha :”> If you think I’m epic though, you should see my other coursemates’ blogs/portfolios. Epic raised to a thousand! Anyway, ID is a really great course. It can be tasking physically and emotionally (artist angst and all) but yeah, 3 years into the course and I still feel like I belong right where I am. The only tip I have is to stick to your passion. A lot of people like designing and stuff but if it’s not something they truly enjoy, it can be really easy to feel burned out. There’s a new curriculum going out for ID though that applies to the incoming freshmen next year and I think it’s going to be a lot better than what we got when we were freshmen. Don’t worry about skills or anything because I was really crappy and had no knowledge whatsoever when it came to Illustrator and InDesign. You just need your creativity, willingness to learn and flexibility to adapt tons of different styles and techniques. Don’t worry or force yourself to have a certain style especially if you’re just starting out in ID because the more free space you have to absorb all the lessons and stuff, the better! I hope I made sense. :) You can ask me all the questions you have about ID. It’s really exciting cause our course is slowly getting more and more attention every time new ACET results roll out!
Haven’t posted anything food related in a while which is sad, because I love food! Back in high school, I’d cook and bake all the freaking time, especially when I’m stressed. Happy with the turn out - it is delishzzz!

BTS of a shoot I did a few days ago for an upcoming production of Tanghalang Ateneo. Many thanks to JV Castro for getting me for this shoot, and his friend, Camille Ramos for letting us shoot in her house. :) And of course, thanks to TA for the opportunity to shoot for them again!

The cabinet came in painted in white, so before I could apply the first coat of color I had to sand the whole thing.

Like choosing ID as your course? You have to be interested in design, of course, and you have to be creative, have some knowledge in design programs, terms, norms (or something), etc. You don’t have to be exceptionally good at designing though. ID is a great course, and it’s usually underestimated.

Infographics made for advanced graphic design class! The instructions were to create an infographic showing 10 steps of how to get to my house to Ateneo and I….forgot to put the steps. :| but anyway, other parts of an infographic are there so.. :))
